Discipline Team Leadership

  • Develops and leads a high performing team of discipline leaders who are specialized and focused on cultivation of best-in-class products and services in their discipline expertise areas

  • Is accountable for establishing and aligning department associates on the vision and mission

  • Ensures sound leadership and the cultivation of best-in-class centres of expertise in the areas of Hotel Operations

  • Is accountable for the talent standards and performance development programs for all F&B associates world-wide.

  • Governs the flow of new initiatives to manage resource availability and capacity

  • Ensures the appropriate level of scalability and localization for all Hotel programmes

  • Gather and assess internal and external stakeholder feedback across (owners, continent leadership, hotels), and measure against performance metrics

  • Partner with Brand Liaisons and Continents to define and understand customer need and competitive landscape to ensure alignment on skills and expertise

  • Facilitate and support product/service design and development standards and quality target levels for products produced


Business Leadership

  • Is accountable for establishing Hotel programmes that meet the needs of each brand in three areas: target consumer preferences, operating model, and the brand economic model.

  • Has overall accountability for driving the profitability of Hotel across the enterprise

  • Identify business opportunities and risks by keeping abreast of competitor, industry, economic, and internal information trends

  • Leverages systems, processes, and capabilities that exist in other departments within Operations to sustain and evaluate the effectiveness and profitability of major Food and Beverage programs


Stakeholder Management

  • Acts as the company’s subject matter expert regarding multi-brand to all constituencies (external as well as internal)

  • Develop strategic professional relationships with external boards, organizations, and suppliers to help achieve business strategies; represents Marriott Food and Beverage at key internal and external venues

  • Maintain close and productive working relationships with Consumer Insights, Sales, Revenue

  • Management, Marketing, Brand and Continent leaders • Ensures broad business support for strategic food & beverage initiatives

  • Leverages processes to systematically review the satisfaction of relevant stakeholders (customers, owners, franchisees, associates, and vendors) with the F&B discipline and take action to correct problems and improve satisfaction, if necessary

Talent Management

  • Establish individual performance objectives for team members based on the group’s goals and track progress regularly against these objectives

  • Oversee the Hotel team’s performance and manage the group’s operating budget

  • Focuses on Human Resources to attract, develop, and retain the right people to support the strategic priorities of the organization. Ensure effective structures, processes, jobs, and performance management systems are in place. Set goals and expectations for direct reports, align performance and rewards, appropriately address performance issues and hold staff accountable for successful results

  • Champion leadership development and workforce planning priorities by assessing, selecting, retaining, and developing diverse, high-caliber talent that can lead the organization today and strengthen leadership bench for the future; continue to upgrade talent, work with Human Resources to anticipate future talent needs based on business plans.

  • Forecast talent needs and manage talent acquisition strategy with HR to minimize lost time due to turnover

  • Create and sustain a work environment the focuses on fair and equitable treatment and associate satisfaction to enable business success.

  • Identify, train, and mentor talent.

  • Transfer functional knowledge and develop Operations acumen of Design Team associates
